Celebrate International Owl Awareness Day at Birdland 

Birdland is celebrating International Owl Awareness Day on Saturday, August 4, with a host of owl-tastic activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Keepers at the Bourton-on-the-Water wildlife attraction will be leading special talks throughout the day all about owls and during the Meet the Keeper sessions visitors can have a close encounter with the park's Chaco owl, running from 12.15pm.

Younger visitors can embark on a fact-finding mission across the park to find out more...

Orchestra performs at Rococo Garden fundraising event 

There's a unique opportunity to spend a summer's evening in the glorious surroundings of Painswick's historic Rococo Garden this weekend.

On Saturday evening, Picnic in the Park offers a rare opportunity to bring a blanket and your own food and enjoy the garden after it's closed to the public.

Gates open at 5.30pm, and tickets cost £7 (£5 for card-carrying Friends of the Garden) and are available on the door.

Afternoon Tea - RAF 100 

Join the King's Hotel for their afternoon tea event taking place at their charming 18th century town house to celebrate 100 years of the RAF.

With a donation from every afternoon tea sold going to the RAF100 Appeal which commemorates the RAF's past 100 years and inspiring those that will take the RAF through the next 100 years.

Selection of cakes, scones, sandwiches and unlimited tea or coffee.

Summer of fun for children and families across Gloucestershire 

Details of a fun-packed programme of events and activities for children and families to enjoy across Gloucestershire during the summer holidays have been released.

'Summer off the Streets 2018' is made up of a wide selection of family fun days, skate park events, drop-in activity sessions and children's workshops, with many of the events and activities being offered for free.

Local community and arts organisation World Jungle is running the programme again this year, with funding support from Gloucestershire County Council's Children and Young People's Activity Fund and Cotswold District Council.

Little Voice's run extended at The Barn Theatre 

The Rise and Fall of Little Voice has had its run at The Barn Theatre in Cirencester extended until Saturday, August 11.

Little Voice tells the heart-warming story of a reclusive Northern girl-next-door whose remarkable ability to impersonate the great singers provides her with an opportunity to transcend her tragically unappealing domestic life.
