Another record year for Topps Tiles

Topps Tiles has celebrated a third consecutive year of record sales.

The retailer, which has stores in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester and Moreton-in-Marsh, saw sales rise 6.3% to £262.7m, as reported by Retail Gazette.

And the retailer confirmed it had achieved its 'one in five' market share goal two years ahead of schedule.

Sales per store for the 52 weeks to September 30 were up 30% compared to pre-pandemic levels.

But profit before tax was down 37.6% from £10.9m in 2022 to £6.8m, which the retailer said was due to inflation.

Topps Tiles said inflationary pressures began to ease in the second half of the year and it believes it is well-placed to continue to take market share in the current year.
