Aldi to create thousands of jobs

Discount supermarket, Aldi, will create 5,500 new jobs this year.

Aldi said it is hiring at its head office and across its 11 regional distribution centres, as well as for managers, store assistants and cleaners for new supermarkets opening in 2024.

The recruitment drive is part of its £1.4bn investment in growth over the next two years.

Aldi said it welcomes new customers every week as it works towards its goal of making affordable, quality food accessible to everyone.

Last week, it was reported that Aldi is investing more than £550m in its stores and distribution network across the UK.
