VIDEO: SOLICITOR apprentice training Kirsten Compton Davies and Partners
By Sarah Wood | 24th April 2024
Kirsten Compton is director and head of commercial property and the training principal at Davies and Partners Solicitors in Gloucester.
Kirsten said: "The most common route to qualify as a solicitor now is through a process called the SQE. You go to university - you don't have to do a law degree - and you can then start a solicitor apprenticeship as a graduate and do your qualifications while you work. Combining on-the-job training and qualifying at the same time, you're earning money while you qualify.
"You've also got the benefit of a law firm around you, with lots of specialists to help you when you get stuck with a topic you're finding challenging and can help you navigate your way through."
