A major recruitment drive has begun as bosses announce that Hotel Indigo at The Forum is four months away from opening.

The boutique 129-bed hotel will open its door in February, complete with rooftop bar, restaurant and events spaces.
It is part of the £107million Forum project which is transforming the Kings Quarter and is finally nearing completion after being delayed by more than a year.
The huge 600,000 sq ft site was originally due to be finished by September 2024 but hit unexpected construction issues. Gloucester City Council bosses said it will be completed on budget despite the months of extra work.
Parts of it are already up and running with Gloucester web hosting business Fasthosts moving into the development last December and workspace provider Patch announced as the second tenant in August.

Hotel Indigo is one of the final pieces of the puzzle. It is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), headquartered in Windsor. It has 6,028 hotels globally, with 156 run under the Hotel Indigo brand.
The Gloucester site is listed on the IHG website but bookings are not yet open. However, dozens of jobs are now being filled in anticipation of the opening.
Nadia Fakhredin, who began as general manager of the new hotel in February, is hiring staff for multiple posts, to start training in January 2026.

Jobs being advertised include nights manager, bars manager, restaurant and outlet manager, sous chef finance associate, security and maintenance. More roles are expected to be advertised in the coming weeks.
"Something big is coming to Gloucester, she said. "The brand-new Hotel Indigo - The Forum opens February 2026, and we are looking for talented, passionate people to join us from January 2026."
Rona MacKenzie, talent acquisition advisor at IHG Hotels & Resorts, wrote on LinkedIn: "We are thrilled to announce the opening of our long-anticipated Hotel Indigo Gloucester in 2026.
"We are seeking talented local individuals to help bring the story of Gloucester to life. Our hotel will be a vibrant part of the city's evolving narrative.
"With a rich, multilayered history full of traditions and tales, Gloucester is undergoing an exciting transformation and we are proud to be part of it."
Gloucester City Council posted on LinkedIn: "More fantastic news for Gloucester. Confirmation that Hotel Indigo at The Forum is intending to open in February - complete with 129 bedrooms, a rooftop bar, restaurant and lots of space for special occasions and events. And you can be part of it."
The aim of the Forum is to attract small and large technology businesses into Gloucester.
Gloucester based E G Carter & Co Ltd constructed phase one which includes Kings Square, the 19 Whitefriars apartments and 5,000 sqm of retail space occupied by a Tesco Express.
Kier is working on phase two encompassing the main campus with 135,000 sq ft of Grade A workspace, Hotel Indigo, the 398-space Q-Park car park and 24 more apartments.
