Manager takes up post ahead of landmark hotel opening

The general manager of Gloucester's brand-new boutique hotel has started work.

Nadia Fakrehdin, former general manager of Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham, is the general manager of Hotel Indigo with IHG Hotels & Resorts at The Forum.

Nadia has had a long career in the hotel industry, previously spending 11 years with IHG before moving to Holiday Inn Coventry in 2013 and Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham in 2018.

No definite opening date has yet been confirmed for the new 131-room hotel, but it's likely to be later this year.

Hotel Indigo will have a restaurant, conferencing facilities and rooftop cocktail bar, as part of the £107m city centre development.

It's hoped the new hotel will bring something a bit different to the city and encourage visitors to Gloucester for sporting and cultural events to stay in the city, rather than travel in from other areas.

Gloucester webhosting business, Fasthosts, is the first tenant of The Forum and moved into 19,000sq ft of office space there late last year.
