Hobbs House takes Best Bakery crown
3rd May 2017
Cotswold family bakery Hobbs House has been named Best Bakery in the Farm Shop and Deli Awards.
Its Tetbury store also took the crown for Best Shop in the South West. Judges praised the store for its importance to the local community and its charity work.
The awards, now in their fourth year, celebrate the high levels of service, product knowledge, innovation and community involvement in specialist independent retailers.
Hobbs House Bakery was established in the Cotswolds in the 1920s and is a true family business with five generations of baking experience. The company produces its range of breads, pastries and confectionery at its bakery in Chipping Sodbury. It has four stores, including one in Nailsworth and one in Tetbury.
Here at Punchline, we're very pleased to see Hobbs House get the awards it deserves. We all know that, while supermarkets might be convenient, you can't beat handmade bread from a family bakery.. plus their cakes are delicious and we speak from years of experience taste testing.
