Webinar will help organisations address cyber security challenges

A business specialist from cyber and information security consultancy, Ascentor, is the guest speaker for a webinar hosted by University of Gloucestershire's C11 Cyber Security and Digital Innovation Centre.

Simon Jones, business development manager at Ascentor, will look at the critical role that information risk management and cyber security play in keeping organisations safe in the webinar Considerations in Assuring Supply Chain Information Security.

The C11 webinar takes place on Thursday March 3 between 12:30pm and 1:30pm via Microsoft Teams, and registration is open.

Professor Kamal Bechkoum, head of the School of Computing and Engineering at the university, said: "We're delighted that Simon Jones from Ascentor will be the guest speaker at our webinar on March 3, for what promises to be another insightful and informative event.

"Ascentor helps organisations stay safe through cyber risk management and equips suppliers to deliver projects and bid for contracts more successfully.

"Simon's talk will look at considerations in assuring supply chain information security, ranging from information and risk management to security clearance and facility security clearance assessment."

With Gloucestershire fast becoming known as the cyber capital of the UK, the university offers a wide range of cyber and computing degree courses and gives students opportunities to gain experience through placements and internships.
