Tidal Training have announced new dates for their Excellence in Care course.

Starting in September, this series of training courses have been set up to support local healthcare businesses and to build confidence in the delegates in completing mandatory training and enhancing some elements of the care certificate. Fundamentally, this will ensure that quality care is delivered to the patient and client groups supported in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire.

On September 13th, October 11th and 8th November is a course teaching the moving and handling of people. This involves providing attendees with the knowledge to protect themselves and those in their care from injury, whilst carrying out moving and handling procedures. There are a number of places available left at each session.

On September 15th, October 22nd and 17th November is a course teaching emergency first aid, giving attendees a Qualsafe award Level 3. There are a number of places still available on each date.

There are many places available for a course training the safe handling of and administration of medication. This is designed for healthcare professionals who may have to administer medication and either need to refresh their existing skills or learn more about medication and administration. This session is taking place on September 27th.

There are places available to join a webinar teaching about post critical incident stress debrief facilitator and psychological first aid training. The webinar will take place on October 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th and 21st.

On October 25th is a training session teaching about how to enterally feed. Peg feeding training raises awareness and familiarises individuals whilst ensuring staff have sufficient knowledge to work safely. On a similar vein, there is a course teaching how to administer medication via peg too. This session is on the same day.

On October 22nd is a session teaching continence awareness. Attendees will understand the causes, prevention and management of incontinence issues.

There are two courses on December 6th, one teaching pressure area care and tissue viability training and the other teaching about wound care management. The first course is designed for RGNs and support workers to update their skills or learn more about pressure area care and prevention. The second course will give attendees a greater appreciation of wound types and appropriate techniques to manage them effectively.
