Top award nominations for Cheltenham school

St Edward's School in Cheltenham is celebrating nominations for two prestigious education awards.

The independent senior school has been nominated for Independent School of the Year and Head of the Year, for headteacher Matthew Burke, at the Education Today Awards.

Writing on social media, it said: "The Independent School of the Year category is particularly special, as this reflects the outstanding contributions of our whole community."

The school has won a number of awards over the past year, including UK Independent School of the Year.
