The DigiBus heads for the Forest

Free digital skills training will be on offer at locations across the Forest of Dean over the next month.

The DigiBus is an accessible converted double-decker bus packed with digital technology, which travels around the county visiting community venues and town centres.

An onboard trainer and digital champion volunteers will provide personalised one to one sessions for beginners. Learners can ask questions and will be supported to explore the things that matter to them. No question is too small!

Partner organisations will run workshops in basic computer skills, coding, digital art and more.

The DigiBus will be kicking off its tour of the Forest at Glebe Chapel in Newent on June 14.

It will then head for:

• High Street, Mitcheldean on June 15

• Clock Tower, Coleford on June 16, 21 and 22

• West Dean Centre car park, Bream on June 23

• The Fountain Inn, Parkend on June 24

• Berry Hill Rugby Club on June 27

• Taurus Craft Centre, Lydney on June 28

• West Dean Centre car park, Bream on June 30

• Former Dockham Road Surgery, Cinderford on July 1

• The Fountain Inn, Parkend on July 5

• Berry Hill Rugby Club on July 6

• Taurus Craft Centre, Lydney on July 7

• Glebe Chapel, Newent on July 13

• High Street, Mitcheldean on July 14

• Former Dockham Road Surgery, Cinderford on July 15

There will be no charge for any of the services offered on the DigiBus, but learners will need to book in advance online or on 07878 250 111.
