Businesses from all industry sectors have an opportunity to improve cyber knowledge at their organisation with University of Gloucestershire.
Registration is now open for a free meet-and-greet event Employers - Meet the Cyber Skills Bootcamp Students hosted by the university on Thursday January 27 (5pm-6.30pm) at its Park campus in Cheltenham.
It will provide employers with an opportunity to find out about hiring talented cyber professionals studying at the university, apprenticeship opportunities, student work placement programmes, internships and undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The event will also enable employers to talk to experts about cyber advisory boards and the university's C11 Cyber Security and Digital Innovation Centre.
Prof Kamal Bechkoum, head of School of Computing and Engineering at the university, said: "We're delighted to be offering businesses the opportunity to discuss their employment and training needs at the event.
"Whether they're seeking greater in-house cyber expertise or part-time or full-time cyber tech support, it will be an excellent opportunity for employers from all industries to tap into the growing flow of new cyber professionals.
"In partnership with the Institute of Coding, we will provide an overview of how employers can make contact with our cyber bootcamp graduates, with a view to interviewing them for full or part-time employment.
"We will also be providing an update on the variety of other learning programmes available to employers and adults looking to further their cyber capabilities."
With Gloucestershire fast becoming known as the cyber capital of the UK, the university offers a wide range of cyber and computing degree courses and experience through placements, internships and its industry links.
The university's purpose-built facilities offer computing and engineering students the very latest hardware, including Occulus Rift, HTV Vive and Motion Capture, while research labs provide an authentic environment in which to practice mock cyber attacks through a private and secure network.
