Hartpury: Teaching quality is ‘6th in the UK’

Hartpury University ranks 6th in the UK and 1st in the South West for teaching quality, according to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.

The university also ranks 14th in the UK for student experience.

This is the 30th edition of the annual guide, which ranks British universities to provide potential students with information to support them to make an informed decision about higher education. It is put together following evaluation of everything from student satisfaction with teaching to degree completion rates and graduate employment prospects.

Hartpury's results consolidate the quality of teaching and commitment to the overall student experience.

The quality of teaching at Hartpury was also highlighted last week with the release of the inaugural Daily Mail University Guide, in which Hartpury ranked 4th in the UK and 1st in the South West for teaching excellence.

Graduate employability figures remain high, with 97% Hartpury University graduates in employment, further study or other purposeful activity, placing Hartpury first in the South West and in the top 10% of UK universities for graduate employability, according to Graduate Outcomes 2023, published in July.

Rosie Scott-Ward, deputy vice-chancellor of Hartpury University, said: "Ahead of celebrating our fifth anniversary as a university, I'm thrilled to see such positive results from The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide. I'm particularly proud of the consistent trend in metrics such as the quality of teaching, academic support and student life, as these are such vital components of a positive university experience.

"I'd like to thank all of the hardworking and dedicated staff, who continue to make such an impressive and impactful contribution to the education and lives of our students. As always, we'll continue to invest in our facilities, staff and students, to ensure we provide the very best learning environment.

"I'd encourage anyone considering higher education options for 2024/25 to check out our range of courses online or book onto one of our popular open days to get a feel for our facilities and meet the friendly team."
