Exciting work experience opportunity

Gloucestershire Constabulary is offering a brand-new work experience programme, and applications open this week.

The work experience is for young people aged 14 and 15 (year 10 or just about to go into year 10).

The programme will be open for expressions of interest from 3pm on Friday October, 7.

There are just 168 spaces available for 2023, and applications will be treated on a first come, first served basis.

The work experience programme offers an exciting, yet safe, interactive insight into the world of policing within the county.

The programme will run throughout the year, starting in January 2023, initially for one week every month.

This opportunity is open to all young people of the eligible age, whether they attend a school or not.

During the week, those involved in the programme will be supported by many departments including dog handlers, response teams, force control room, custody suite and mounted section (police horses).

To apply, young people must first submit an expression of interest form. They will then be sent more details about the work experience. This will include details of their allocated week and a form that must be returned to the constabulary within four weeks.
