Two county institutions have made it to the finals of the Green Gown Awards.

The Green Gown Awards celebrate sustainability in further and higher education in the UK.

Gloucestershire College has made it to the finals in the 2030 Climate Action category, with its GC Zero project. It is up against Borders College, De Montfort University, Keele University, King's College London, Plymouth Marjon University and University of West of England.

University of Gloucestershire is a finalist in the Tomorrow's Employees category, with its Empowering Changemakers project. It is up against Harrogate College, Nottingham Trent University, University of Aberdeen, University of Leicester, University of West of England and York St John University.

In total, there are 84 finalists, representing 51 different institutions across 15 award categories.

Winners will be announced at the Green Gown Awards Ceremony which will take place at Loughborough University on November 8.
