Call for Cotswold businesses to support young people
By Sarah Wood | 15th September 2021
Cotswold District Council is calling on businesses in the area to support young people aged 16-25 who aren't currently in education, employment or training.
The council has been awarded funding from the Department for Work and Pensions to offer an innovative and responsive service to these young people, working with Cirencester Town Council on behalf of the Bingham Library Trust, the Job Centre, Cirencester Chamber of Commerce and the wider Cotswold Youth Network/ VCS.
The partnership will provide a holistic service to support young people, offering a personalised support programme tailored to the individual needs of the young person.
But it can only work if businesses get involved!
The success of the scheme and outcomes for young people depend on a varied menu of opportunities and support from businesses that are keen to invest in the future.
The council is encouraging businesses in the district to complete its short survey to find out what support is out there for young people.
Businesses can complete the survey here.
