Apprentice cash incentive extended

The government has extended the apprenticeship cash incentive scheme until January 2022.

The package provides up to £4,000 for every apprentice a business employs (£3,000 for every new apprentice of any age and an additional £1,000 if the new apprentice is aged 16 to 18).

The cash can be spent on anything from supporting the organisation's cost towards the apprentice's salary to funding additional activities to enhance the apprentice's learning experience.

So if your business was thinking of hiring an apprentice, now would be a good time to take the plunge.

Gloucestershire College has a wide range of apprenticeships available from Level 1 to Level 6.

Check out the full range of apprenticeships here  or get in the touch with the college's Business Hub team at business.hub@gloscol.ac to discuss your needs.
