Looking for a new job or an exciting career change?

Gloucestershire Constabulary is looking to recruit up to 15 new Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) to join them throughout the county.

The force is looking for people who are passionate about making a difference and giving back to their community. Recruitment for the roles opened this morning (Monday 23rd November).

PCSOs provide a vital link between the communities they serve and the police service. They don't have the same powers as regular officers or their Special Constabulary colleagues, but still carry a lot of responsibility.

They conduct high-visibility patrols, acting as a crime deterrent and helping to inspire public confidence, while also offering support to officers at crime scenes and large events.

Their role includes dealing with minor offences, providing crime prevention advice and helping to tackle antisocial behaviour.

This is a challenging role but an immensely rewarding career, as PCSOs help to change lives and keep people in Gloucestershire safe from harm.

To find out more about who is eligible and how to apply, visit the recruitment page on the constabulary's website: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/police-forces/gloucestershire-constabulary/areas/gloucestershire/ca/careers/pcsos/
