Gloucestershire College Traineeships: Apply now!

For 16 to 24 year olds who need support to reach their career goals, it's not too late!

Gloucestershire College's free, 14-week traineeship programme equips young adults with essential skills for work, including a placement to give learners that all-important experience work experience.

Supported by the UK Government, traineeships are designed to increase skills, confidence and the chance of getting a job or apprenticeship, for people who need extra skills or work experience to reach their goal.

Competition for jobs is higher than ever before, so the more work experience people have, the more they will stand out to employers.

The traineeship programme consists of 14 weeks, where the first eight are delivered in college and the remaining six weeks will be on a substantial and meaningful work placement.

What will you gain from a traineeship?

• Development of employability skills

• Support to write a great CV

• Support to secure a meaningful and substantial work placement

• Monitored work placement with support from a dedicated team

• Excellent work experience through your placement

• Support to develop and improve English and maths skills (opportunity to re-take English and maths GCSEs if required)

• Advice and guidance about progression into an apprenticeship or a job
