Free Microsoft Office course

Gloucestershire College is offering a free Microsoft Office course for the unemployed or those on low incomes.
Microsoft Office for Work is a four-day course for those aged 19 and over who are unemployed, on certain benefits or earning less than £18,525.

The course is designed to develop knowledge and understanding for some of the key software within the Microsoft Office suite, and how to use it in the workplace.
The course is a combination of tutor-guided sessions, with practical tasks and activities based on the following Microsoft software:
• Microsoft Outlook
• Microsoft Teams
• Office 365
• Microsoft OneDrive
• Features of Microsoft Edge, including dictation, auto reader and translate
There will also be opportunities to practise using Word and Excel.
To take part in the course, a knowledge of the basic functions and operations of a computer is essential. A basic knowledge of Word and Excel would also be an advantage.
