Free employability courses

GFirst LEP is offering a number of free employability courses during June.

The courses are free to people who meet the eligibility criteria:

• Over the age of 19

• A UK/ EU resident in the last three years

And at least one of the following:

• Unemployed/ earning below £17,000 a year

• Qualified below a Level 2 (equivalent to five GCSEs)

• Mental health challenges (includes substance misuse)

• Learning difficulty or disability

Interview masterclass workshop

Wednesday 16th June

10:00am - 2:30pm - Online via Zoom

A workshop on how to prepare well for an interview, delivered by a careers specialist using very simple techniques that can elevate anyone's interview skills.

Computer basics

Thursday 17th June

4:00pm- 5:30pm - Online via Zoom

An informative workshop ideal for retirees, introducing you to the basics of how to use a computer, including keyboard and mouse skills, online safety and basic internet skills.

Improve your English for work

Tuesday 6th July - 20th July

10:00am - 12:00pm - Adult Education, 4-6 Commercial Road, Gloucester, GL1 2EA

Build your English skills whilst learning how to do online applications, interviews and how to write a basic CV.
