Work begins on new garden centre

Work has started on a new Dobbies store in Cheltenham.

The Little Dobbies in the former Gap store on Cheltenham Promenade is set to open next month.

Scaffolding has gone up and builders are hard at work making internal changes to the building on the corner of the Promenade and Imperial Lane.

Speaking to Punchline last November, Graeme Jenkins, Dobbies CEO, said: "The idea is to bring an element of gardening into areas where you wouldn't otherwise get it so easily and conveniently."

There are currently five Little Dobbies stores on high streets around the UK. The Cheltenham store will be the largest to date.
