Gloucester-based kitchenware brand, ProCook, saw a 3% rise in sales in the 12 weeks to January 7.

Total revenues for the quarter hit £23.1m.

Ecommerce sales for the quarter were down 6% compared to the same period last year at £8.8m, while retail sales were up 9.5% at £14.3m, boosted by the opening of two new stores.

For the year to date, overall sales are down 0.8%, with ecommerce sales down 13.8%.

ProCook attributes the drop in online sales to the launch of its new website. It said: "Ecommerce LFL revenue... reflected disruption during the first six weeks of the quarter following the launch of the new website at the end of summer, which was largely resolved in time for Black Friday campaigns."

Lee Tappenden, chief executive officer, said: "I am pleased that trading metrics are continuing to improve despite the difficult consumer backdrop, and that we have delivered a robust Black Friday and Christmas trading period, outperforming our market.

"Whilst we remain cautious about the timing and pace of market recovery, we are confident in our proposition and energised by the opportunities available to us to build an even stronger customer-focused business, as we continue to make good strategic progress, which will allow us to accelerate profitable growth as trading conditions improve."
