New name signs up for Gloucester Food Dock

A popular Cheltenham business is the latest to join the line-up at Gloucester Food Dock.

Scandinavian Coffee Pod operates from a yellow, steel coffee pod in Cheltenham. Its passion for excellent coffee has helped build the business into a thriving hub for coffee lovers.

Sophie Adkins took ownership of the business in 2021. She said: "Everything we do is built upon the Scandinavian principle of doing simple, well."

Its ethically sourced speciality coffee from farms across the globe, along with its exclusive partnership with Assembly Coffee Roasters, ensures every cup is of a high standard.

The business's strong direct-to-farm relationships guarantee it is not just about brewing coffee, but also nurturing communities.

Located adjacent to The Deck gate, this new café will have easy access for coffee and food options. With seating both inside and on The Deck, Sophie and the team also expect a strong takeaway business from passers-by.

Sophie continued: "We couldn't be more thrilled to be in Gloucester and are so excited to be joining the Food Dock alongside the other independent businesses."

Ken Elliott, co-founder of Gloucester Food Dock, said: "We have taken our time to find a coffee specialist who shares our passion for the Food Dock and are delighted Sophie and her team are joining us."

The Scandinavian Coffee Pod joins other businesses opening in December, meaning Gloucester Food Dock will end the year with nine openings, with more to come in 2024.
