A glowing start to the half-term holiday

Where: Cheltenham High Street (juggler) and Imperial Gardens (observation wheel)

When: Saturday, February 16, and daily until Sunday, February 24

Visitors to Cheltenham will be treated to a magical illuminated juggling act on Saturday, February 16, as part of Light Up Cheltenham.

The Photon Glow Show, a duo of acrobatic jugglers, will brighten up the town even more as they perform outside the new John Lewis and Partners store on Cheltenham High Street from 5pm.

The pair will be joined by live singer Bethany Goodman as she treats the crowds to some favourite songs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, as well as some well-loved theatre music.

Light Up Cheltenham has seen hundreds of people come to town to snap some amazing pictures of the town's historic Regency buildings lit up in splendid colour.

BID operations manager Belinda Hunt said: "We have seen some incredibly beautiful pictures shared on social media, showing the world what a stunning town Cheltenham is."

The giant observation wheel, which has proved very popular both during the daytime and at night, will be open for extended hours during the half-term holiday.

On Saturday, February 16, and Saturday, February 23, the wheel will open from 11am-10pm; from Sunday, February 17, to Thursday, February 21, it will be open from noon to 9pm; on Friday, February 22, opening hours are noon to 10pm; and on Sunday, February 24, the last day the wheel will be operating, opening times are noon to 8pm.

A ten-minute ride will cost just £5 for an adult, £4 for a child and a family ticket is £15. For more information, see https://cheltenhambid.co.uk/february-is-all-lit-up-in-cheltenham/
