ENERGY SMART: Drive to transform county's homes for the future

This Saturday (October 4), Furbnow, the UK's energy efficiency experts, will host an event along with a new partnership of Gloucestershire's local councils at PIttville Pump Room in Cheltenham.

The Energy Smart Gloucestershire 2025 event will offer practical advice and expert insights, helping homeowners to make smart, sustainable choices for their homes.

Guests will learn from real-life case studies and discover how products like insulation, ventilation systems, heat pumps, solar panels, and battery storage work together to lower bills and improve comfort.

The partnership between Furbnow and Gloucestershire's six councils launched earlier this year to make home energy upgrades simpler and more accessible.

As part of the partnership, residents can access a subsidised home energy survey to help them take the first step.

Cllr Cate Cody, chair of Climate Leadership Gloucestershire and lead member for climate at Tewkesbury Borough Council, said: "I'd encourage anyone in Gloucestershire looking to make their home more environmentally friendly to attend Energy Smart Gloucestershire 2025 in Cheltenham this October.

"Furbnow is an excellent resource for homeowners - bringing together expert advice, vetted local installers, and end-to-end project management to make homes more energy efficient, comfortable and sustainable."

Furbnow is committed to transforming millions of homes in the UK and beyond through complete, high-quality decarbonisation services. Providing tailor-made upgrades and energy plans for every home, no matter the complexity of the project, making energy upgrades simpler and smarter - without the stress.

Becky Lane, CEO of Furbnow, said: "We have been working hard to make energy efficiency feel less overwhelming for homeowners. We're already helping residents in Gloucestershire create their warm, efficient home for the future, and this event is a chance for other residents to see just how straightforward and doable energy upgrades can be."

Furbnow plans, designs and project manages all energy efficiency improvements within the home, making it a one-stop shop for those who want to invest in their home.

The event will include a panel discussion with eco-renovator extraordinaire and social media star Judith Leary-Joyce who will share her experiences and tips on renovating.

Local firms attending include EV Futures, SWIP, Hewer FM, EWI Pro, BreathTherm and WP Rendering.

The doors open at Cheltenham's Regency Pittville Pump Room to Gloucestershire residents at 9am, and admission is FREE.

Reserve your place and start your energy-smart journey.
