Teenage boy charged with attempted murder

A 17-year-old has been remanded into custody to appear at court in March 2024.

A teenage boy has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of a teenage girl in Gloucester on Sunday evening (January 28).

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court earlier on Tuesday (January 30) where he was remanded into custody.

He is next due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday, March 1.

The charges relate to an incident which took place in the Kingsway area of Gloucester.

The victim of the stabbing, a 16-year-old girl, remains in hospital at this time.
