Stagecoach West returns to park and ride

Stagecoach West has just started operating the service 100 from Arle Court Park and Ride to Cheltenham town centre.

The route runs up to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday. It is a limited stop service, which takes just 12 minutes to reach the centre of Cheltenham - comparable to the same journey by car.

The park and ride was taken over by Bennetts a year ago, after Stagecoach withdrew the service.

Rachel Geliamassi, managing director of Stagecoach West, said: "We are really excited to once more be operating the Arle Court Park and Ride service, and we're looking forward to welcoming regular users and new faces back on board again.

"Since we pulled back from the service in 2022, due to pandemic-related operational and staffing challenges, we have stabilised and improved our networks. Today we are proud to have reached a much more reliable position, operating 99% of our scheduled mileage.

"Thanks to Gloucestershire County Council and Bennetts Coaches for their hard work over the past year - we look forward to reinstating this park and ride connection and are dedicated to making sure it runs efficiently and reliably."

Up to two children will be able to travel for free with each adult. Adult returns will be £3.50, with a two-person return for £6.
