Sherbornes strengthens team to meet demand

Sherbornes Solicitors has strengthened its team with the appointment of two new solicitors.

The Cheltenham-based business law specialist has also promoted an existing member of staff to trainee solicitor. The appointments are in response to significant growth in demand for the firm's employment and business law services.

The two new solicitors are Natasha Thomas and Kieren Mulvey.

Natasha joins Sherbornes as an associate solicitor from the international firm Trowers & Hamlins, where she was an associate in the corporate team. Prior to that, she worked for Charles Russell Speechlys.

Natasha brings with her a wide range of experience, including corporate, commercial and property law. She has been involved in deals ranging from a few thousand to tens of millions of pounds.

Natasha said: "It's been very refreshing to move to a firm where I have the freedom to give commercial, practical advice to real businesspeople."

Kieren joins the firm from Luttons Dunford Solicitors. Previously, he worked for Angela Porter Solicitors. Kieren's experience includes work on the employment and commercial side of the firm.

Kieren said: "I have looked for a move to a firm of this quality for a while and love the down to earth mentality here."

To further strengthen the Sherbornes team, Abi Partridge, who joined the firm as a paralegal in 2018, has been promoted to the position of trainee solicitor.

As a paralegal, Abi has assisted all the solicitors in the firm, gaining experience of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters and corporate transactions, as well as commercial law. In her new position as a trainee, she will focus on those different areas to deepen her knowledge before qualifying in 2025.

Trula Brunsdon, a director of Sherbornes, said: "The reputation of Sherbornes as trusted advisors to businesses in all areas is going from strength to strength and this is reflected in the levels of new clients coming to Sherbornes, as well as increased levels of new work coming in from our existing clients.

"Whilst we welcome the growth, we are very keen to ensure that it does not change who we are, which is down to earth, practical lawyers. Nothing more. These new appointments are for quality lawyers, and we are lucky to have them.

"I am delighted to welcome Tash and Kieren to the team. They bring a wealth of knowledge with them, and they are already proving to be great additions. It is also important that we support internal development and recognise the efforts of those who have been with us for a while, so I am very pleased that Abi has progressed to become a trainee."
