Perfect time to recycle your old mobile phones

Christmas is the perfect time to think about recycling your old mobile phones for our ongoing charity campaign.

Punchline-Gloucester.com has teamed up with Stonehouse-based Lister Unified Communications to recycle mobile phones to raise funds for Stroud-based The Nelson Trust.

We've already collected hundreds of old phones for Lister to recycle but there must be thousands more lying around out there that could be put towards this good cause.

Punchline editor Mark Owen said: "Over the Christmas season this is an opportunity to ask your relatives and friends to collect their old mobiles. I was at my wife's auntie's house this week and she said 'oh, by the way, I've got two old mobiles for you'. It's for a really good cause."

Old phones can be dropped off at any of the six Growth Hubs around Gloucestershire or you can set up your own collection point at your place of work and encourage your work colleagues to get involved.

A number of Gloucestershire businesses are already backing the campaign, with more set to do so in the New Year.

The Nelson Trust brings belief, hope and long-term recovery to people whose lives have been impacted by addiction and multiple unmet needs.
