Oli's new mission as a business coach

A Cotswold-based entrepreneur has launched a new venture.

Oli Christie has launched his own coaching and consultancy business, alongside his role as CEO of mobile games company Neon Play.

Oli is a well-known figure in the local business community having had a 30-year career in advertising, marketing and games. He is also a Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire.

Oli said: "I'm offering my services as an executive and personal coach. My mission is simple - to help people make the most of their businesses, careers and lives.

"Whether it is with one-on one-coaching or workshops, I want to give people the thing that seems hardest for us all - time away from the manic pace of life and work - to give clients time to pause, think about challenges in their businesses, changes they might want in their careers, areas of their lives they want to change or enhance. It's important stuff and change is possible!

"Having started Neon Play from my kitchen table and then sold the company six years later, I've been through my fair share of big highs and (more importantly) crushing lows.

"And all that experience and grey hair has hopefully helped me learn a lot about business, start-ups, the sale process, hiring, firing, managing, motivating, marketing, technology, remote working, AI, culture, delegation, etc, etc.

"So I really hope that I can be a big help to people as either a mentor, advisor or consultant. It's often a lonely place to run a business, even if you have a good management team, and so often CEOs lack the support of an objective outsider who could make a significant difference to not just their company, but maybe also their personal lives (things are often connected).

"I can be there to offer decades of experience that will save you time, stress and ultimately could release you to make a better, happier and more profitable company."

Oli added: "I've been very lucky to have won five clients in the first week of my new business and the clients are a mix of executive and personal coaching, plus some career coaching, but also a client who wants some business consulting and another client who wants some mentoring.

"So there's a real mix there, which is what I want really as I hope I can offer a lot of input, advice, experience, mentoring, ideas and coaching to all my clients, depending on what they want.

"I'd love to get clients in Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, but am happy to do sessions on Zoom or occasionally meet up too for people further afield."

Another area that Oli loves is helping people in that critical career crossroads.

He said: "Are you bored with your career and want a change but are too scared? Are you pondering whether you might start your own company, but can't quite weigh up the pros and cons? Are you worried what you'll be doing aged 60 or 70?

"These are all areas that I've been through and would love to help you analyse this absolutely critical next step by looking at your goals, strengths, values and what success means to you. It could genuinely shape the next five to 10 years of your life."
