The 18th century Falcon Inn at Painswick has announced a new management team who are focused on reconnecting with locals in the local area.
The new manager Lauren Hemmings and the new head chef Jake Haddon have taken over the running of the business for 2024, with a focus on service and a new home-cooked menu with locally sourced ingredients. Both are local to the area and have extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
The Falcon will be offering a 15% 'local neighbours' discount to all in Painswick and the surrounding area alongside teaming up with local walking groups and events.
Owned by Balfour Winery, an English vineyard, The Falcon at Painswick has been serving this area of the Cotswold for almost 300 years. At the back of the pub is the historic Falcon Bowles Club, established in 1554 and the oldest club in the country. In front is St. Mary's Church with its famous 99 yew trees.
Lauren Hemmings said: "I am over the moon to be taking over such a historic, and important, Cotswold's institution. The Falcon is such a beautiful site, and the reception Jake and I have had from the locals has been superb. We're really looking forward to getting to know more of them over the coming months."
The inn has accommodation and private hire space.
