New role for Gloucester Rugby's former CEO

Gloucester Rugby's former CEO Lance Bradley has joined Welsh club Ospreys as their new CEO.

Bradley, who left Gloucester in July, started his new role on Monday,. He was appointed after Swansea-based Ospreys' ownership, Y11 Sport & Media, led an extensive recruitment process "to find the perfect candidate to lead them into an exciting new chapter".

Bradley previously held several key leadership roles, most recently as CEO of Gloucester Rugby. During his five years there, he not only led the club through COVID-19, but also turned around their financial performance, from significant losses, to profitability.

He also instigated and oversaw a significant increase in funding for the Gloucester-Hartpury women's team, who finished last season as Premier 15s Champions.

Bradley's association with the sport started during his time at Mitsubishi Motors where he spearheaded the company's solid partnership with Gloucester Rugby, including them becoming the club's principal partner.

In his roles at Mitsubishi Motors, including as managing director, Bradley extended their association with rugby to include partnerships with Edinburgh Rugby, Scottish Rugby and England Rugby, before leaving to take on the role as Gloucester Rugby CEO.

Lance Bradley said: "I am honoured to be joining Ospreys as its CEO. This is a club with a rich, successful history and a passionate fan base. I am eager to contribute and take the club to new heights.

"The Ospreys is a club full of potential and talent, who are known for their innovation and for being disruptive, making this a very exciting role.

"I've been very impressed with the plans Y11 have outlined to me. I look forward to meeting with fans and business partners in the coming weeks to share those plans and hear their thoughts."

James Davies-Yandle, Ospreys and Y11 Sports & Media owner, said: "Lance Bradley steps into his role at a pivotal moment for Ospreys, and his appointment marks a strategic enhancement to the club's competitiveness and overall standing in the rugby community.

"The Ospreys community can expect Bradley to bring fresh perspectives, strategic initiatives, and a commitment to creating a culture of sustained success."
