New £1m machine supports Future's evolution

Staverton-based Future Advanced Manufacture has invested £1 million in a state-of-the-art CNC machining centre to boost its manufacturing capabilities.

Known for its innovative R&D expertise and repeat manufacture capabilities, the company acquired the Hedelius Tiltenta 3600 at a circa £1 million investment.

The cutting-edge machine tool supports Future's commitment to quality and performance and is set to achieve new levels of precision and efficiency thanks to its smart credentials.

As well as benefiting from an additional four meters of three-axis machining capability, the Hedelius also includes a 1.1-meter rotary table, which boasts five-axis cutting technology, allowing for larger and more intricate components to be produced with accuracy and speed.

Ashok D'Sa, chairman and managing director of Future Advanced Manufacture, said: "This investment demonstrates our commitment to leverage the most advanced technologies in the industry to ensure our customers receive the very best - in both quality and performance, and that we remain at the forefront of manufacturing capability in the UK.

"Our work with the defence industry highlighted, in particular, the demand for the manufacture of large and intricately designed components, hence the decision to invest in the Hedelius Tiltenta 3600.

"We're excited about its capabilities across a range of industries, and have set ambitious targets around its performance including reducing lead times to ensure we are exceeding customer expectations.

"We truly believe it's a transformative asset and one that we are proud to have."
