Man banned from Urban Outfitters in Cheltenham

A 42-year-old Winchcombe man has been banned from entering Urban Outfitters in Cheltenham's Brewery Quarter while he awaits sentence for stealing high value clothes three times in a fortnight.

Michael Smith, of Binyon Road, Winchcombe, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court earlier this week and indicated pleas of guilty to three charges of theft from Urban Outfitters in Cheltenham - once on November 29, 2023, and twice on December 12, 2023.

The charges show that he took clothing to a total value of £1,582 - £500 worth on the first occasion, £350 on the second and £350 the final time.

Smith has been conditionally bailed for a pre-sentence report and will be sentenced on April 18, 2024.

The magistrates made it a condition of his bail that he must not enter the Urban Outfitters premises.
