Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A man has been arrested following a wounding in Gloucester on the evening of Friday, December 29.

Police were called to a property on Hatherley Road, Gloucester, shortly before 11pm on Friday (December 29) after it was reported a man had been wounded.

A 38-year-old from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

The victim was taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment to non-life threatening wounds before being transferred to Bristol Royal Infirmary.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to please complete the online form quoting incident 404 of December 29.

A scene guard remains in place at the property while investigations continue.
