Hospice charity seeks furniture donations

Longfield Hospice has sent a shout-out for furniture donations for its shops.

The charity, which has 20 shops across Gloucestershire, is urgently calling for donations of good quality furniture such as tables, chairs, wardrobes, sofas etc.

Without donations, the charity is in danger of running out of furniture, impacting the stores' ability to raise funds to provide care and support for those facing life-limiting illnesses in Gloucestershire.

Unfortunately, Longfield cannot take any beds, mattresses or upholstery without fire safety labels or faulty electrical items.

Laura Owen Longfield head of retail said: "If you've recently redecorated, had a clear out or moved house and have unwanted furniture taking up your valuable space, then why not donate your items to Longfield Hospice."

The charity is needing good quality furniture and donations can be taken to their Thrupp Furniture Shop in Stroud or the Up Hatherley store by Morrisons in Cheltenham.

Free collection is also possible. Call the Warehouse Team on 01453 836715 to discuss and arrange collection. Photos of items can be sent to the charity by e-mail.
