Spate of attacks in Abbeydale
By Police reporter | 4th January 2024
Officers are appealing for information after a series of targeted attacks on a property in Abbeydale, Gloucester.
The latest incident happened not long after midnight on Christmas Eve at the address on Hawk Close and three males were seen in the area at the time.
Police were called at around 12.45am with a report a car outside the property was on fire.
Two of the offenders had smashed the car windows, set it alight and then fled the area. It is believed there may be footage circulating of the damage being caused to the car and officers want to hear from anyone who has seen any video of the incident.
No-one was injured; however the fire was dangerously close to the property, and the car was damaged beyond repair.
In recent months the windows at the property have been damaged by a group with a hammer, and the windows of a car had been smashed prior to that.
Anyone who has information on who is responsible for this series of targeted attacks, or who has seen the mobile phone footage, is asked to contact police by completing the online form and quoting incident 18 of December 24.
