Witcombe Festival to go ahead following announcement

Witcombe Festival is set to go ahead following yesterday's (Monday, July 4) Government announcement, which will see all current Covid restrictions lifted from July 19th.

Headlining the 2021 return will be global superstars Tinie, Basement Jaxx and John Newman along with superstar DJs Annie Mac and Andy C.

Now in its ninth year, Witcombe Festival has become a top annual event in Gloucestershire and is one of the fastest growing music festivals in the UK, recently named "Best for Dance" festival by Metro Newspaper.

Festival founder Joe Pointon said, "The team and I are so excited about the chance to give our amazing fans something to look forward to this summer after a really difficult year.

"It has been touch and go whether we'd be able to go ahead this year and we've been eagerly awaiting Government guidance but following the latest announcement from the Government we're delighted that we'll be able to welcome festival goers back to the ground for one hell of a weekend of music."

Witcombe fans will also get the chance to see DJ Luck & MC Neat, Artful Dodger, DJ Ez, Samantha Harvey, The Cuban Brothers, Nathan Evans, Raye and local fan favourite Duke, plus many more across the site's four stages.

The artists will head to the festival's Brockworth Road site this August Bank Holiday Weekend, Friday 27th - Sunday 29th August.

After the cancellation of 2020, Witcombe Festival is relishing the opportunity to continue its rapid growth in showcasing some of the biggest and best acts around. The sell-out event in 2019 brought superstars Dizzie Rascal, Plan B and Faithless to Gloucestershire and the event is set to provide another unforgettable Bank Holiday weekend this year.

In gratitude to the amazing work our HNS has done, Witcombe Festival recently gave away 500 free tickets to NHS Staff and is committed to offering all of its fans the amazing experience they deserve.
