Winning quiz team hopes to revisit glory

Stroud Valleys Project's Big Quiz returns to Stroud Brewery on Sunday, February 4, from 6pm.

The last time the quiz was held there, a crack team of the charity's staff and volunteers walked away with the prize - and they're hoping to repeat their success this year.

The people-powered conservation charity is hosting their fundraising Big Quiz at the award-winning Brimscombe venue just in time for people to celebrate payday after a long, dreary and damp January.

SVP's CEO Clare Mahdiyone wasn't on the winning team last time, but she's shifted allegiance this year in the pursuit of glory.

Clare said: "Quizzes are a lovely way to share knowledge and work together - to win!

"SVP has a lot of exciting development work planned for Stroud's green spaces this year, and the money we raise at this event will get our year off on the right foot.

"We're delighted that our friends and supporters Stroud Brewery are able to host us once again, and we're looking forward to a night that will banish the winter blues while testing your grey matter.

"There will be questions to suit a range of ages and interests, as well as a raffle with some fantastic prizes."

Book online (£3 per person) at stroudvalleysproject.org  or pay cash on the door (£5 per person).

Quizzers are invited to come in teams, but if people arrive on their own, organisers will do their best to place them in a team.
