The Munch Mission - can you crack the case?

An art-heist playable family theatre show is coming to a Cotswold venue this weekend.

Presented by Brave Bold Drama, The Munch Mission is playing at the Tetbury Goods Shed on Sunday (August 14) from 2pm to 3pm.

Do you possess the wit, nerve and skill to become the next CIA agent? Work with Agents Kahlo and Dali of the Company of International Artists to solve a fiendishly sneaky art heist.

Help them to chase leads, decipher clues and interrogate suspects to retrieve a missing artwork.

Full of mystery, nods to film noir and a broad streak of quirky comedy, 'The Munch Mission' is a fiendishly sneaky playable art heist adventure set in the world of international art galleries.

Audience members are enrolled as newly recruited agents to this top-secret global agency which solves artistic mysteries. The audience accompany Dali & Kahlo in their mission to retrieve world famous artwork stolen from Oslo National Museum, visiting Japan, the Netherlands, Morocco, and England along the way.

At different points throughout the show the audience are asked to vote for different narrative outcomes. This impacts on which characters Dali & Kahlo interview and which countries they visit. Despite taking a different route each show, the outcome will always be the same - the 'culprit' determined, and mystery wrapped up.

There are specific improvised moments scattered throughout the show where actors invite the audience to offer suggestions which the actors will honour. This validates children's ideas and contributions which empowers them to explore storytelling outside of the context of a theatre space.

The audience are in-role as newly recruited agents of the CIA. To bolster this role, agents are issued a Covid-safe kit on arrival to utilise during the show to help them solve the mystery of the missing Munch.

The show is seven years of age plus recommendation due to the pace of the storytelling. However, the content of all shows is suitable for younger audiences with lots for them to enjoy.

Tickets are priced from £8 and for more information, visit https://shed-arts.co.uk/event/the-munch-mission-childrens-theatre/
