By David Wood | 29th November 2021
Stroud is holding its Goodwill Evening on Friday (December 3) with a procession, street entertainment, late night shopping and Christmas markets.
As part of this year's event, The Lansdown is hosting a Charities Market from 5pm to 9pm.
Stalls include: Stroud Women's Refuge, Cotswold Cats and Dogs, The Door, Middle of the Hill Food Hub, HFT (a charity for people with learning disabilities), Chance for Childhood and Alzheimers.
They will be selling gift items, handmade goods and charity cards etc.
The bar and café will be open selling mulled wine, brandy hot chocolate and delicious cake.
Santa will be putting in a guest appearance around 6.30pm and drawing tickets for the Lansdown Hall raffle at 6.45, with some superb prizes donated by local businesses. Proceeds are going towards crucial roof work for the building.
The Gallery will be open with the exhibition 'Happiness' by children and staff from Whiteshill Primary School - well worth a visit.
The hall will be warm and beautifully lit with a great playlist, maybe a choir and definitely some live music from Finnegan's Wok (a ceilidh band).
