Spooky fun in support of Sue Ryder

Families and their four-legged friends are being invited to don their best Halloween outfits and take part in a trick or treat fundraising trail this October.

Setting off from The Boathouse at Pittville Park, Cheltenham, on Friday 27 October - just as the moon appears (4pm-6pm) - participants and their pooches will be taken on a guided walk around the lake before heading back to the boathouse for refreshments and Halloween-themed activities.

The event is being hosted by Cheltenham Canines to raise funds for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice and will also include face painting, a costume competition, and raffle, with ghoulish sweet treats from Berrey's Pick N Mix available to buy.

Jodie Thomas from Cheltenham Canines said: "I talk to so many clients whose lives have been touched by the care provided by Sue Ryder, and after taking part in the charity's December Dog Dash last year I was keen to continue my support.

"We can't wait to see some fabulous ghosts and ghouls (including our four-legged friends) for an evening of fun for all the family. A big thank you to The Boathouse who will be decking out the area and making it an event to remember."

Tamsin Grainger, community fundraiser at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, said: "Halloween is a great time to bring family and friends together for some spooky fun, and by taking part in Cheltenham Canine's trick or treat trail you will also be helping to raise vital while raising funds so that we can continue to be there when it matters.

"A huge thank you to Jodie and the team. We can't wait to see everyone there on the night!"

Tickets cost £5 for one child and accompanying adult, which includes a space on the spooky walk, entry into the boat house and entry into the costume competition with the chance to win some amazing prizes!
