The most special event to be held at the Jet Age Museum since the pandemic takes place on Sunday, May 15.

The Jet Age Museum is proud to present Jet Age Celebration at the museum at Meteor Business Park, Cheltenham Road East, Gloucester GL2 9QL from 10am to 4pm.

This will mark the 81st anniversary of the first official flight of the Gloster E28/39, the first Allied Jet aeroplane.

At 1.30pm there will be an audience with former Jet pilots, including Ian Whittle, son of Sir Frank Whittle, inventor of the Jet engine.

For those attending there will be a free raffle, with prizes including two tickets to see the new Tom Cruise film 'Top Gun:Maverick' at any Cineworld Cinema from 25 May.
