Society celebrates return with greatest hits show

After an absence of over a year, the Forest Musical Society are back with a collection of their best loved musical numbers that have been performed over the years.

The society is gearing up to present its 'Greatest Hits' show at Lydney Town Hall on Friday, November 26 at 7.30pm and Saturday, November 27, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

The show is directed by Jacqueline Turley and will revisit some of the society's best loved numbers with a new cast. These songs are taken from hit shows including: Les Miserables, The Lion King, Chicago, Wicked, Rent, The Little Shop of Horrors, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Jekyll and Hyde and many more.

Show producer Elliott Burge said: "Rehearsals started a few months ago once the Government had given the green light for groups to get together again and we were delighted to welcome brand new cast members to join previous members who returned, along with a new musical director, Mark Scales.

"Rehearsals are going well and we cannot wait to get back to Lydney Town Hall and perform in front of an audience again, all supported by a live band. This is going to be a great show full of energy."

Tickets are now on sale for the performances via the website www.forestmusicalsociety.org.uk
