Rural skills on show at heritage craft fair

Saddlers, stone masons, weavers and woodworkers will be displaying their skills at a Heritage Craft Fair in Northleach this weekend.

The event on Saturday (September 11) is being organised by the Friends of the Cotswolds and takes place at the Old Prison and is free to enter from 10am to 4pm.

As well as demonstrations of country crafts, there will be lots of family fun with a mini disco, face painting, a fancy dress competition for vintage costume of characters.

Cotswold Radio will be on hand to provide more entertainment.

Another attraction will be Chloë of the Midnight Storytellers who entertains family audiences in costume and character as Nightshade the Unwise Woman of the Woods.

Chloe mixes magic, mystery and adventure in stories from her shows 'Cotswold Tales' and 'Wildwood Tales'. Performances are free and start at 10:30am, 12:30 and 2pm (times might vary slightly on the day).

Chloë, who lives near Northleach, was Town Crier there between 2006-2012 and she's currently relaunching her business after the pandemic and cancer.
