Runners all set for the Cheltenham Half Marathon

Thousands of runners are set to take part in the Cheltenham Half Marathon, 10K and Community Mile this Sunday (September 5).

With the start and finish line held at the stunning Racecourse on the outskirts of the beautiful regency town, participants will be able to enjoy the glorious views of the surrounding Cotswolds before heading off along tree-lined roads towards the town centre.

Runners will race through iconic locations such as Montpellier and Lansdown, before joining the old Honeybourne Line towards Pittville and back into the Racecourse for a final lap before enjoying an amazing grandstand finish.

This is a truly amazing opportunity to see the best Cheltenham has to offer from a closed road point of view.

This year more than 3,700 runners are participating across three incredible events: Cheltenham Half Marathon, which starts at 9am; the 10k starting at 9.15am and the Community Mile starting at 9.20am.

New for 2021 is the 10k race which follows parts of the half marathon route, giving runners the opportunity to take on a shorter challenge yet still be part of this wonderful event.

Organisers are proud to partner with local, life-changing charities including Sue Ryder and Macmillan. Their involvement means runners will raise thousands of pounds for incredible causes.

New for this year, the event is teaming up with Trees Not Tees, which plants a tree for every runner participating, instead of providing event t-shirts, to be more eco-friendly, produce less waste, and decrease the event's carbon footprint.
