Royal Three Counties Show back with a bang

A fun-filled family day out is on offer at Three Counties Showground in Malvern next summer, with a bumper crop of farming, food and alfresco entertainment at the Royal Three Counties Show from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 June 2022.

Visitors to the show can wonder in awe as the Red Devils Freefall Team parachutes down into the Main Arena each day. Plus, hear the roar of the Bolddog Lings Motocross Stunt Display Team perform their latest heart-stopping tricks, usually only seen on TV!

Some of the UK's finest livestock will compete for the title of best in show, in one of the largest livestock competitions in the country, while younger visitors will be able to meet and discover more about all their favourite cuddly creatures, from rabbits and alpacas to pigs and sheep.

There will be lots of opportunities to discover and enjoy local produce and artisan food and drink in the new Food and Drink Festival. Here, visitors will find international street food stalls, a cider show, local chefs cooking up a storm in the theatre and daily children's cookery workshops.

For budding engineers and inquisitive minds, you'll find all things mechanical in the vintage machinery area of the Countryside Arena, which also hosts the high-octane Pole Climbing demonstrations, where nationwide competitors battle it out to climb the giant poles in record breaking times...it's harder than it looks.

Any visit to the Royal Three Counties Show wouldn't be complete without enjoying the spectacular show jumping and skillful carriage driving competitions, alongside the Dyfed mounted police and a talented horse whisperer in the Ask the Groom area.

Jane Edwards, shows manager, said: "We are delighted that the Royal Three Counties Show is back and bigger and better for 2022. It's an extra special year for the show as we celebrate 100 years of the three counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire coming together to stage this amazing celebration of the best in farming, food and family fun.

"With over 150 different events and activities, running across the three days this fun-filled long weekend event will feature a new Food and Drink Festival, a memory-making selfie trail; two arenas with non-stop entertainment, exciting outdoor activities to get involved in, over 6,000 animals to meet and some state-of-the-art tractor and farm machinery demonstrations. All this and more included in the ticket price with kids under 16 going free!"

Advance tickets cost £21.85 for general admission, children under 16 go free. Buy in advance at https://www.royalthreecounties.co.uk/buy-tickets/  or call 01684 584924 for more information.
