The boys (and girls) are back in town

After its huge success from a rally at a Cotswold pub in August, the biking group West County Bike Nights is returning to the venue for another get-together for riders of two-wheeled wonders.

The Royal Oak, in Wotton-under-Edge's Haw Street, will host the comeback gathering this weekend from 2pm until late (September 30th) and the day's program includes hot food options and live music from performer Sicknote Steve, who recently performed to acclaim at the town's latest Blues Festival.

For visitors on the day, the pub's large car park promises to be a pop-up showground for a broad variety of bikes, trikes and one or two eccentric automobiles.

Luke Payne, of organisers West Country Bike Nights, said the event was open to all: "We do this to raise money for the Great Western Air Ambulance and wanted to show our huge thanks to landlady Gail Hickling who gave a huge donation to the vital charity while the staff put in so much effort to create a great day out, serving up excellent food and drink."

Initially, the group had decided to hold an event at a later date but brought the plan forward in the wake of huge positive reaction from members.

Landlady Gail Hickling said: "We're delighted to re-stage this great day and have Sicknote Steve perform - all in the name of a vital charity that is so special to many people."
