Pianist steps into the breach for recital

A young pianist is stepping in to give a performance at a Cheltenham venue after the original pianist was incapacitated.

Adam Heron was due to perform at Chapel Arts on Friday, December 3 at 7pm but has suffered a recurring hand injury.

Adam has kindly recommended fellow Royal Academy pianist Tim Rumsey to perform in his place. Tickets bought before 18th November will still be valid.

Tim Rumsey is currently studying for an MA in piano performance at the Royal Academy of Music, having achieved First Class with Honours in his undergraduate degree at the same institution.

He is the holder of the Wisniewski/Derwent Award Scholarship for the 2021/22 academic year. Recent performances include a recital forming part of the 'Glastonbury Festival' at the V&A Museum in London.

Tim will perform the following programme:

Brahms - Drei Intermezzi

Ravel - Miroirs No. 3 ("Une Barque sur l'Océan")

Schubert - Sonata in C Minor D. 958

I. Allegro

II. Adagio

III. Minuetto. Allegro - Trio
